Ward Entertainment Center is located at the corner of Auahi and Kamakee Streets in Kakaako. The two-level structure includes Consolidated Theatres' flagship 16-theater megaplex, restaurants, retail, and parking. The complex is the hub of an urban shopping district that is Hawai`i's first example of main street retailing.
Coconut Palms help to reduce the mass of the buildings and provide a landscaped screen through which the buildings are seen, while not reducing tenant visibility. Singapore Plumeria provide shade and fragrance, while Hibiscus and Dwarf Laua'e Fern provide a buffer from the traffic.
