Native and Polynesian-introduced plants that were used in traditional medicinal treatments such as niu (coconut palm), hala, ko (sugar cane), ti, and 'awapuhi kuahiwi (shampoo ginger) are planted throughout the gardens to emphasize the feeling of lokahi with nature.

Private individual and couple's thatch roof hale are located amidst lush, tropical landscaping. Each hale features a secluded garden for privacy, lava rock shower garden, and spa. The open-air yoga/cardio pavilion includes an adjacent lawn area for stretching and exercising.
